David Hanley

Vice President, Global Industrialization

David Hanley is vice president of Global Industrialization within Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD), a business of Raytheon Technologies. Hanley is responsible for defining RMD’s international industrialization strategy and partnering across business functions and capabilities to advance strategic international offset and localization projects across the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

Prior to this role, Hanley was RMD’s most senior leader in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, responsible for developing regional strategy, driving business growth in individual MENA countries and managing the regionally based functional capabilities that enabled delivery of customer-orientated solutions.

Hanley was also chief operating officer, and later chief executive officer, of Raytheon Saudi Arabia, a locally registered company of RMD based in Riyadh. In this role, he was responsible for the executive management of operations in the Kingdom, in particular the growth of Raytheon’s business and delivering on customer programs for a number of government agencies.

Before his roles in the MENA region, Hanley worked in management and leadership positions for Raytheon Australia for nearly 15 years, and as an aeronautical engineer in the Royal Australian Navy for 15 years.

Hanley has extensive global defense industry experience, having held leadership positions in international business, program management, business development and strategy. He has a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from University of New South Wales and an MBA from La Trobe University, Victoria.
