Raytheon Missiles & Defense opens applications for SPY-6 scholarships
Company to award two $10,000 scholarships to US Navy student veterans
TUCSON, Ariz. (Jan. 13, 2021) — Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a Raytheon Technologies business, has begun accepting applications for its SPY-6 scholarship to benefit U.S. Navy student veterans. In partnership with Student Veterans of America (SVA), two $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to sailors who pursue a degree at an accredited university and demonstrate leadership in their local community.
The SPY-6 scholarship, named for the U.S. Navy’s SPY-6 family of radars, gives student veterans an opportunity to achieve their educational goals and better position themselves for success in civilian professions.
Applications will be accepted on the SVA website from Jan. 13 to April 5, 2021.
Raytheon Technologies has a long history of supporting military veterans, including a $5 million commitment to SVA, a nonprofit that focuses on the needs and concerns of American military veterans in higher education.
